SOUND OF AMERICA CONCERT REPERTOIRE from previous tours

Many SOA applicants and their directors inquire about the repertoire
that is chosen each year for the Sound of America Honor Band and
Chorus.
Except for the performances in a cathedral or basilica, where
it is only proper for a chorus to sing sacred pieces, our other
concerts feature approximately 30-40 minutes of music by the choir,
followed by a similar allocation of time for the band. As a finale,
the band and chorus perform on stage together presenting several
arrangements written for a combined ensemble. Therefore, our concerts
consist of approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours of great music!
We are providing a listing of band, chorus and combined musical
works that represent a virtually all of our repertoire over the
past two decades. It is, however, only a partial listing to give
you a better understanding of the music performed on SOA tours
throughout Europe.
To hear some of our past recordings, we offer a free demo compact disc to each applicant. Selections
that can be heard on our new demo band or chorus CDs are listed
with an "*". Directors
may inquire for their free demo CD.
Selections that can be heard on the "A Patriotic Tribute"
CD are listed with an "*"
